Matter composed of antiparticles. For every particle of ordinary matter there is a corresponding antiparticle which has the same mass but the opposite charge. If a particle such as an electron collides with its antiparticle, a positron, they will annihilate each other in a flash of pure energy – a process which can also take place in reverse.
